Aquadeus supports the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases, to which it will donate more than €50,000 with its 'Gotas de Esperanza’ (Drops of Hope) campaign.

The company will sell more than 415,000 packs of 12 bottles of 0.5L Bienstar and will donate €0.12 for each unit sold to research projects into rare diseases.

Aquadeus, the natural mineral water company belonging to Grupo Fuertes, continues to support the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases with the donation of at least €50,000 from the sale of 420,000 packs of 0.5L Bienstar water. This action is part of its ‘Gotas de Esperanza’ (Drops of Hope) campaign, which aims to raise funds for research into these ailments. The natural mineral water company has already donated €30,000 to Feder, the result of a previous campaign.

For the sale of each pack of 12 units, Aquadeus will donate €0.12 to FEDER, as it is estimated that in Spain there are more than three million people with rare diseases and that they need a major boost in research to find diagnoses and possible treatments, especially at this time when, as a result of Covid, this group is twice as vulnerable. The ‘Gotas de Esperanza’ campaign, promoted by Aquadeus, achieves the dual objective of raising funds and giving visibility to the rare disease associative movement.

Aquadeus is a company that carries out extensive social work and is present at numerous events organised by NGOs and other non-profit organisations, with the aim of helping the groups that need it most.

It currently collaborates with Manos Unidas, UNICEF, the Spanish Transplant Association and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), among others, and last year alone it donated more than 325,000 litres of water to Caritas and the Food Banks. The mineral water company’s source can be found in El Arquillo protected natural area in the Sierra de Alcaraz mountain range in Albacete. Due to its chemical composition, it is one of the most balanced waters on the market.

FEDER has recently presented its awareness campaign to convey the main message under the slogan ‘Symptoms of Hope: Union, Commitment, Struggle’ for World Rare Disease Day.
