2 march 2020

This initiative forms part of the company’s Sustainability Plan

Aquadeus has just launched its first bottle made of 50 percent recycled PET onto the market, in 50 cl format, as a clear commitment to achieving a circular economy.

This action aligns with the company philosophy of achieving sustainability of the planet, which means that all the packages it commercialises are recyclable, compostable or biodegradable to reduce the carbon footprint. Aquadeus is setting realistic objectives in the field of sustainability by using its product range to achieve positive change.

The initiative forms part of the company’s Sustainability Plan, which also includes the development of a communication campaign aimed at customers to raise awareness of the importance of recycling, a reforestation programme in the area of its aquifer in the protected natural area of El Arquillo, in Robledo, on the outskirts of the Sierra de Alcaraz mountain range (Albacete), the use of electric forklifts and the installation of a photovoltaic solar system for plant self-sufficiency. By implementing these projects, the company works towards sustainable and inclusive development, and achieves social and environmental benefits while carrying out its activity.

Aquadeus, integrated into the Fuertes Group business holding, is a pioneer in its sector and is immersed in a process of continual innovation. The objective set by the company is to continue growing above the sector average by increasing productive efficiency, to which end it has recently invested 4 million euros. Its business policy is focused on developing actions that generate value in the long term, bringing together overall economic development with a positive social and environmental impact on the surroundings.

Aquadeus water is classified as rich in bicarbonates and calcium, and low in sodium, suitable for preparing baby foods and for low sodium diets.
